Bishop's Waltham Festival 2025
With over 25 years of events and volunteer team members who have been involved in the meticulous planning and organisation for every single year, the Bishop's Waltham Festival is a popular and much-loved annual event for the town.
2025 was a step up - starting with the VE80 events on Saturday 24th May where people came together to learn songs and then performed them in front of an audience of 300 at St Peter's Church that evening along with Salisbury Big Band.
We saw 170 children from local primary schools come to the palace on Friday 27th June for the afternoon, to take part in the CHILDREN'S CEILIDH rganised by FOLK ACTIVE and led by caller Tom Gregory with music by Jigfoot. They were brilliant!
Later that evening, we opened the gates again for the huge HOUSE AT THE PALACE : THE REGAL RAVE which brought some of the top DJ's from around the world
On Saturday 28th June, we curated 4 Stage sets with Bands, Acoustic / Folk, Childrens Performances DJ's throughout the day
Sunday 29th June saw over 300 people in the palace grounds to watch open air theatre performances of THE SECRET GARDEN performed by The Plandits, and THE RIVALS by the Rain or Shine Theatre Company.
We have lots of photos, so have a browse below - and make sure you look out for next year's events as the team are already starting to make plans!
